Men's Basketball: Pratt 97, Davis 83

JOHNSON CITY, NY – Pratt Institute men's basketball improved to 2-2 in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with a 97-83 road win over Davis College on Saturday.

Senior Ari Grant led all players with 25 points and 25 rebounds, while junior Andrew Yaglenski added 22 points on 4-8 three-point shooting.  Point guard Vishal Vanka added 13 points and four assists as the Cannoneers improved to 5-7 overall.

For Grant, it marked an 11th double-double in 11 games played.

All five Cannoneers starters scored in double figures, with sophomore Bubby Vernon scoring 20 points to go along with nine rebounds and Adam Blufarb adding 13 points on 5-11 shooting.

Pratt won the glass, out-rebounding Davis 48-34, led by Grant's 19. On the day, the Cannoneers held Davis to 41 percent shooting (31-76) from the floor.

At 2-2 in HVIAC play, Pratt returns to play Sunday at Albany Pharmacy.
