The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognizes the following Student-Athletes for their performance in Week #3 of the 2023-2024 Men's and Women's Soccer season.
This week, the honor of Men's Soccer Player of the Week goes to Colby Krauss from the SUNY ESF.
Krauss netted 2 of the Mighty Oaks five goals in a victory against YSCC opponent, Paul Smith's College. The win secured the Barkeater Cup Trophy for SUNY ESF.
Berkeley College's Marco DaSilva is named Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week for Week #3. DaSilva scored 3 goals and registered 1 assist in two Knights victories. Berkeley College defeated SUNY Orange 10-2 and HVIAC opponent, the Word of Life Bible Institute 6-2.
A note worthy performance was had by Michael Paredes from Berkeley College. Paredes scored 2 goals and registered an assist in Berkeley College's two victories during Week #3.
On the Women's Soccer side of the HVIAC for Week #3 and the second time of the season, Alivia Jones from the Word of Life Bible Institute is honored as Women's Soccer Rookie and Women's Soccer Player of the Week. Jones netted both of the Huskies goals in a 2-1 victory against Fulton Montgomenry Community College.
