Men's and Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Week #5)

The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognizes the following Student-Athletes for their performance in Week #5 of the 2023-2024 Men's and Women's Basketball season.

This week the honor of Men's Basketball Player of the Week goes to Joseph Matthews from the Word of Life Bible Institute. Matthews averaged a double-double, 18.5 points and 10 rebounds for the Huskies over the span of two games.

Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week goes to Brandon Dugger from the Word of Life Bible Institute. Dugger averaged a double-double, 11 points, 10 rebounds during the Huskies two games of the week.

 

On the Women's Basketball side of the HVIAC for Week #5, the honor of Women's Basketball Player of the Week goes to Keisy Villanueva from Berkeley College. Villanueva scored 18 points, grabbed 15 boards, swatted the ball 5 times, racked up 2 steals, and dished the ball twice, against USCAA opponent Bryant and Stratton College, Syracuse.

Dakotah Cutting from the Word of Life Bible Institute is selected as, Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for Week #5. Cutting averaged 7 points and 12 rebounds during the week for WOLBI.

A notable performance from Rachel Sheaffer of the Word of Life Bible Institute. Sheaffer averaged 7 points and 12.5 boards over the span of two games for the Huskies.
