The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognizes the following Student-Athletes for their performance in Week #5 of the 2023-2024 Men's and Women's Soccer season.
This week the honor of Men's Soccer Player of the Week goes to Calem Mason, from The Word of Life Bible Institute. Mason scored all three of the Huskies goals in a 3-2 victory over USCAA opponent, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He also registered a goal in a 6-0 win over Penn State University-Scranton.
Samuel Gomez from Berkeley College has been selected as Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week for Week #5. Gomez scored one goal and registered an assist in the Knights victory against USCAA opponent, Bryant and Stratton College-Albany. Berkeley College also defeated HVIAC foe, SUNY ESF 5-2.
A Note worthy performance came from Berkeley College's Marco DaSilva. DaSilva registered a goal and an assist in the Knights two victories during the week.
On the Women's Soccer side of the HVIAC for Week #5, no games were scheduled.
