The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognizes the following Student-Athletes for their performance in Week #9 of the 2023-2024 Men's and Women's Basketball season.
This week the honor of Men's Basketball Player of the Week goes to Justyce Coleman from Berkeley College. Coleman posted double-double,16 points(7/12 from the floor) and grabbed10 boards. Additionally, he was credited with 2 blocks and 2 steals, in the Knights victory over Bryant and Stratton College, Syracuse.
On the Women's Basketball side of the HVIAC for Week #9,the honor of Women's Basketball Player of the Week goes to Jordan Tobin of Five Towns College. Over the course of two games, Tobin posted back-to-back double-doubles. 21 points and 20 rebounds came against NCAA Division III Pratt Institute. She racked up another 25 points and 18 boards, as the Sound defeated Bryant and Stratton College, Syracuse.
A noteworthy performance from Berkeley College's, Cherokee Wheeler. Wheeler scored 10 points, grabbed 9 boards, blocked 3 shots, and stole the ball 3 times, in a loss to Bryant and Stratton College, Syracuse.
